Create a Collection of Web 2.0 tools
For this activity you will create a collection of Web 2.0 tools for high school students. You can start with favorite tools you are using. These should be tools that are used for a variety of purposes: learning, research, productivity, information, college prep, or similar. Try to avoid sites that are strictly for entertainment or personal uses. Choose one option from below.
Option A: Symbaloo Webmix
Symbaloo: This tool helps you create a webmix of useful links. A webmix is a visual collection of links: think of it as visual bookmarking
- Watch the Symbaloo tutorial in Web 2.0 tools
- Click on the Symbaloo link from within Edmodo to create a Symbaloo account
- Create a new webmix
- Add at least 10 resources to the webmix. One resource should link to a SchoolTube tutorial or video that would be helpful for high school students
- Add at least one resource each week to the webmix throughout the course
Option B: LiveBinder
LiveBinders: This is a digital 3-ring binder that lets you store resources, websites, images, PDFs, and videos on a certain topic.
- Watch the LiveBinder tutorial in Web 2.0 tools
- Click on the LiveBinder link from within Edmodo to create a Symbaloo account
- Create a new LiveBinder
- Add at least 10 resources to the binder. One resource should link to a SchoolTube tutorial or video that would be helpful for high school students
- Add at least one resource each week to the webmix throughout the course
